The St. John Fisher College baseball team dropped a 6-5 decision to Neumann University on Thursday. With the loss, Fisher falls to 2-3 overall, while Neumann improves to 4-1.
Fisher jumped out to 3-0 lead in the first inning, but errors cost the Cardinals. Neumann scored three unearned runs in the sixth inning to take a 4-3 lead. After Fisher scored two in the seventh, Neumann scored two more runs - both unearned - in the eighth to pull out the win.
For Fisher,
Cody Wiktorski finished with three hits and scored two runs.
Jack Trotman also enjoyed a multi-hit game.
Shane Barley finished the game with two RBI.
Pitcher
Kevin Berge, who allowed four hits and three runs (all unearned) was tagged with the loss.
Fisher returns to action on Friday vs. Suffolk University.
