In our modern multi-cultural, multi-failth society, we believe that Pastafarian children should receive the same treatment in SRE/SRI as children of any other religion.  Section 32 of the Education Act of 1990 does not mandate which religions are eligible/ineligible.  It specifically states that time must be set aside for children of ANY religious persuasion.  By law, you cannot discriminate. 

The Gordon Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, and individual Pastafarians, are not asking for any special privileges, they are simply asking for the exact same rights as are afforded to any other religious group.

On 24 July 2014, on behalf of Pastafarian children, GCFSM submitted a comprehensive application to become an approved provider of SRE in NSW.

Approval of this application is very much in the NSW public interest as evidenced by the media and politics:

The GCFSM application has been referred to your office by the DEC.  You have had sufficient time to consider the application.  For the sake of Pastafarian children, it is time for you to DO YOUR JOB and make a decision that is transparent to the community.
