ASU Water To Take Part in Exhibition Tournament This Weekend

TEMPE – The No. 5 Arizona State University water polo team will take part in several exhibition games this weekend as part of the 2014 Desert Duel at the Mona Plummer Aquatic Center in Tempe, Ariz.

The Sun Devils will compete against several strong master’s programs in an effort to sharpen up before resuming MPSF conference play next weekend.  ASU is currently in the middle of back-to-back bye weeks.

ASU will open the tournament on Friday evening at 7 p.m. against the Old Mission Beach Athletic Club. With a win the Sun Devils would advance to play at noon on Saturday, March 29 and would play at 11 a.m. should they fall on Friday evening.

The event is open to the public and will feature a men’s tournament over the course of the weekend as well.

The Sun Devils return to action next weekend as the team heads on the road for back-to-back MPSF tilts against Stanford and San Jose State on Saturday, April 5 and Sunday, April 6, respectively.
