And Justice for All: Spring NJCTE Conference
Greg Takoudes, author and filmmaker whose award winning feature film, Up with Me, and which inspired his first novel, WHEN WE WUZ FAMOUS will visit Montclair State University on Saturday, March 21, to receive the Muriel Becker Literary Award presented by the New Jersey Council of Teachers of English. Author Kenan Trebincevic, author of the compelling memoir, The Bosnia List: A Memoir of War, Exile, and Return, will offer the opening keynote. David Lubar, author of dozens of books for teens, electronic game programmer (who programmed Super Breakout for the Nintendo Game Boy, and Frogger for both the SNES and Game Boy), will be a highlighted speaker.
The conference is open to the general public and convenes at 8:15 in the Student Center Ballrooms on the north end of the campus. Interested attendees may register here: www.njcte.com/conferences
