The Astrology of Politics: Boris Nemtsov—A Simple Murder?—Part 1

Boris Nemtsov pic (Astrology Explored) Boris Yelfimovich Nemtsov was a Russian scientist, statesman and liberal politician. He had a successful political career in the 1990s under President Boris Yeltsin, and since 2000 had been an outspoken critic of Vladimir Putin.

He was shot and killed in February 2015 on a bridge near the Kremlin and Red Square in Moscow.

Nemtsov was one of the most important figures in the introduction of capitalism into the Russian economy. At the time of the murder, Nemtsov was in Moscow helping to organize a rally against Russian involvement in the war in Ukraine and the financial crisis. Nemtsov’s conflict with Vladimir Putin’s government centered over widespread embezzlement and profiteering ahead of the Sochi Olympics, as well as over policy in Ukraine.

From 1976 to 1981, Nemtsov studied physics at N. I. Lobachevsky State University of Nizhny Novgorod, where in 1985, aged 25, he defended a PhD in Physics and Mathematics. Until 1990 Nemtsov worked as a research fellow at the Radiophysical Research Institute, and published more than 60 academic publications related to quantum physics, thermodynamics and acoustics. He theoretically proposed a mechanism for the acoustic laser and a novel design of antennas for space probes.

In 1986, in the wake of the Chernobyl disaster, Nemtsov organized a protest movement in his hometown which effectively prevented the construction of a new nuclear power plant in the region.

That incident seemed to propel him into a political career.

He seems a bright guy, and he’s portrayed by Western media as an opposition leader of Putin’s policies. Others disagree.

Alexander Nekrassove, a former Kremlin and government advisor, turned journalist, who interviewed Nemtsov, say Nemtsov was a “fading opposition leader” and that it made no political sense for Putin to be involved in Nemtsov’s murders. Nekrassove characterized Nemtsov in this way:

My impression was that he did not have a coherent political programme that he could offer to Russian voters. By then, he was already a marginal politician, bitter at the world for not recognizing his talents but basking in the adoration of the fairer sex.

He remained part of the liberal Moscow opposition and I got an impression that by then he reconciled himself with the fact that his role was that of a “charismatic troublemaker” who said things to shock rather than suggesting anything practical.

He was eloquent but without much substance, ambitious but without the intellect to back it. I even had a feeling then that if Putin would have offered him a job in his government, he might have agreed to be in the spotlight again. For he liked the trappings of power, which was obvious during his days as regional governor and deputy prime minister in the 1990s.

Was Nemtsov a fading opposition leader with a vague sense of where to lead the Russian people? Or was he as brilliant as his Wikipedia page suggests.

We don’t have Nemtsov’s birth time, so we have to construct a sunrise chart for him. This means we cannot rely on house placements for delineation, but we can look at the planets, the sign they are in and aspects to other planets.

His sun, his core identity, his Mars, his survival instincts, and Mercury, his thinking processes are in the relationship oriented sign of Libra. Libras are born diplomats, able to create consensus among diverse people. With such a strong Libra signature in his chart, this was a man who needed people to ‘get along.’ His Moon, his security needs is in the sign of Capricorn. Capricorn likes to manage and administer. They have no problem being the power behind the throne, as long as that throne advocates the positions that Capricorn finds important. Capricorns are politically adept. His moon is in harmonious energetic connection with a powerful Venus, Pluto combination in the detail oriented sign of Virgo. This a man for who no detail was too small, no piece of the puzzle that did not fit in it slotted space.

There is no way this politician had a fuzzy and incomplete viewpoint about the politics of his nation, or where his government should take his.

If Nemtsov seemed rebellious it is due to a harmonious energetic connection between his Libra stellium and Uranus that was also opposite his natal Uranus. His vision for others eclipsed the boundaries of society.

In other words he was a dangerous man for a government looking to hold onto the status quo.

So who murdered Boris Nemtsov? We’ll look at that on a post on True Crime and Astrology.
