Andrew O'Clee was arrested in September 2014 for bigamy. After pleading guilty, O'Clee was sentenced to eight months in jail yesterday, only half of which he will serve in custody, the Chichester Observer reports.

According to Daily Mail, O'Clee married his first wife, Michelle Agbulos, in 2008. He met Phillippa Campbell in 2011 and began an affair with her then, by which time Agbulos and O'Clee were trying to have a child.

Daily Mail reports that by this point, O'Clee "tried to cover his tracks by claiming he was involved in a fraud case and had been put into the witness protection program which meant he had to live in a 'safe house' for long periods."

When Agbulos eventually did have their child, he showed up late for the delivery, cut his daughter's umbilical cord, and told his wife he had to leave immediately because his police escort was outside. She believed it.

The Chichester Observer reports that O'Clee married Campbell in 2013 after telling her he ended his first marriage (he hadn't). He forged a document saying Agbulos had cheated on him, which was accepted by their church. His mother and brother attended the second wedding under the assumption that O'Clee was very much divorced.

When Campbell and O'Clee were tagged in an Ice Bucket Challenge on Facebook that was allegedly captioned "Uncle Andrew and Auntie Phillippa," Agbulos found other photos of O'Clee from his 2013 second wedding to Campbell and promptly sent them to the police.

Daily Mail reports that Agbulos told the court:

Thinking back, as I do every single minute of every single day, I had no reason not to trust Andrew. I was told he would have to be taken to a safe house with his colleagues for his and my own safety. He was taken to a safe house every night and I wasn't allowed to know the location. I was told by him not to tell my family or friends. I became paranoid and constantly fearful for my safety. Looking back I feel completely stupid and naive for not thinking something was wrong. I believed my life was in danger.

Campbell allegedly plans to stay with O'Clee regardless of this whole mess.
