Teen Photo Camp

Discover the exciting world of photography at our Photo Camp. You will learn the fundamentals of photography while applying concepts learned right away. We will teach you how the camera captures light, how to photograph certain scenes and objects and help you push your creativity. All sessions will include a shooting component as well as a field trip. You will be able to capture a number of photographs that reflect the fundamentals learned. You will get to pick your favourite images from each class and together we will build a portfolio for you to take home. This camp is for teens from 13 to 17 years old.

Course Outline

• Camera Overview and Set Up
• Understanding shooting modes
• Controlling results: Exposure Compensation, White Balance and ISO
• How to shoot in low or tricky lighting scenarios
• Using Framing and Composition for better pictures

Requirements: Must have a DSLR or mirrorless camera, all brands are welcome – Don’t have one? Read the info below about our loaner cameras.

Course Level: Beginner

Duration: 15hrs (Mon-Fri, 3hrs per day)

Additional Information

Camera Loaners: Loaner cameras are available in limited quantities and are booked on a first come first served basis. To reserve a camera, just add a Camera Loaner to your order when registering for the camp. Loaners will be available only during the camp session.

Waiver: All camp participants will be required to fill out a waiver and have it signed by their parent/guardian prior to camp start date.
