Police continue their search for a 30-year-old Innisfail woman reported missing from ‘Golden Hole’, Biggs Road at Bartle Frere near Josephine Falls around 3pm on Sunday afternoon.

Inspector Rhys Newton today continued the police appeal for assistance from the public for information that might help locate Ms Fraser.

He said, “Anyone that was in the Golden Hole area on Sunday needs to contact their local police or Innisfail police on 4061 5777.

“We need to speak to anyone who was in that vicinity.

“That also goes for anyone who may have information which may assist us with her location.”

Approximately 25 personnel from both police and the State Emergency Service have been involved in today’s search which have been focusing on land surrounding the area with members on foot and quad bikes.

She attended the popular swimming spot known to locals as ‘Golden Hole’ with her partner and another man on Sunday morning.

The alarm was raised after she failed to return to the vehicle after becoming separated from the two men.

“In 5-10 minutes you can be in very difficult terrain in that area. You’d be in quite thick, dense, jungle and may become disorientated,” Inspector Newton said.

She is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 175cm tall, with a heavy build and dark brown hair.

She was last seen sitting under a gazebo wearing a black t-shirt, grey leggings, black thongs with a silver strip on them and was carrying a red towel.

Police are urging anyone who was in the area around ‘Golden Hole’ on Sunday, who has not yet spoken to police, to make contact with local police or Crime Stoppers.
