The Kentucky Wesleyan softball team has been picked second in the preseason Great Midwest Athletic Conference softball coaches poll.
The Panthers received one first place vote and were chosen behind Trevecca, whom the coaches picked as the preseason champion with seven first place votes.Â
KWC was followed in the poll by Cedarville, Alderson Broaddus, Davis & Elkins, Salem International, Ohio Valley and Ursuline.Â
The Panthers finished 26-18 last season and 14-5 in G-MAC play, and played in the championship game of the G-MAC tournament. Their season begins Friday, Feb. 6, when they play Montevallo at the Charger Chillout in Huntsville, Ala.
