Schweizer Reneke- A 31-year-old man is expected to appear before Schweizer Reneke Magistrate’s Court on Monday for theft. He was arrested for allegedly stealing out of motor vehicle on Thursday.

The suspect used a jammer to block the locking device. The car owner allegedly entered the shop unwary of the suspect disturbing her locking device. North West police spokesperson, Sergeant Kealeboga Molale said: “The security guards at the shop noticed the incident and notified the owner. The suspect allegedly got into the car with intention to steal. The car owner locked the car from outside while the suspect still roving inside.”

Police were called and the suspect was arrested. Molale said: “Police appeal to vehicle users to be cautious at all times when she disembarked from their vehicles. Please ensure that your vehicles are suitably locked before leaving.
