Box Score WAUKESHA, Wis. - Carroll University (14-18, 3-9 MWC) raced out to a 15-4 lead early and cruised to a 15-10 victory over future CCIW conference opponent Elmhurst College (19-19, 7-11 CCIW).

Elmhurst would take the early lead with a pair of unearned runs in the top of the first inning, but Carroll would answer back in the bottom half as Dylan Grove would drive a pitch over the left field fence for a two-run homerun to even the score at 2-2.

Carroll would explode for six runs in the bottom of the third and seven more runs in the bottom of the fourth to race out to a 15-4 lead and never look back.

Jacob Langford would pace the offense finishing 3x4 on the day with three RBI and three runs scored.  Freshman Alex Kermendy would chip in three RBI and Arron Buck would finish 2x2 on the day.

Danny Arden would earn the win, working two scoreless innings in relief.  Freshman Marshall Getzloff would earn his first career save as he would strike out the last batter of the inning with the bases loaded.

Carroll returns to Midwest Conference action on Friday as they travel to Appleton to face Lawrence University in a double-header.  First pitch is scheduled for 1pm.
