CMG arrest, Acacia Ridge

An alleged participant of the Bandidos Criminal Motorcycle gang has been charged with a range of offences after an investigation by Acacia Ridge detectives.

Around 2am, police were called after a disturbance at a Dellow Street, Acacia Ridge home.

It is alleged a 42-year-old man attended the address and produced what was believed to be a taser, before threatening and assaulting two women aged 21 and 75.

The 21-year-old women was transported to hospital with facial injuries, while the 75-year-old woman was not seriously injured.

A short time later, police dog squad officers located the man at a nearby address in Merchinston Street.

It is alleged that after a search, officers located syringes, a knife and a conductive energy weapon.

The 42-year-old Acacia Ridge man has been charged with one count each of serious assault, assault occasioning bodily harm and a weapons offence.

He was further charged with failure to properly dispose of syringes and another weapons offence.

As part of an Acacia Ridge CIB investigation into a number of break and enter offences across the area, the man has additionally been charged with four counts of burglary, three counts of enter premises by break, and one count each of enter premises with intent and possession of dangerous drugs.

The offences relate to the alleged theft of property ranging from jewellery, electronic equipment, keys, tools, cash, alcohol as well as other personal items at addresses in Alderwood Street, Beaudesert Road, Flaxton Street and Dee Street between June and August.

The man is due to appear before the Richlands Magistrates Court today.

He is allegedly a patched member of the Bandidos criminal motorcycle gang.
