HAMPTON, Ga. - Clark Atlanta softball was eliminated on the second day of the SIAC Championship from Lovejoy Regional Park.

HOW IT HAPPENED GAME 1:
Clark Atlanta was shutout through the first five innings and trailed Tuskegee 6-0. Two Panther runs scored in the top of the sixth on four hits.
Ashley Nelson scored the first run on an RBI single from
Sharnitra Woods ahead of woods scoring o the next on a double from
Jessica Vason.

Three Tuskegee runs in the sixth put the game out of reach before CAU added a lone seventh-inning run. Woods added her second RBI of the game with a single through the left side scoring Nelson before the final out was recorded.

Ajada Cofield (6-16) faced two batters before being knocked out due to injury.
Shalonda Woods finished the game with 11 hits allowed and striking out one batter.

Sharnitra Woods each collected two hits.
HOW IT HAPPENED GAME 2:
CAU got on the board in the fourth inning after trailing 4-0. Vason scored on an RBI single from
Sharnitra Woods to right centerfield.

Two more Albany State runs scored in the fourth before CAU scored a final run in the sixth inning as Vason scored again, this time on a single to right field by
Tamera Green.

Kendall Washington (0-5) started the game and threw the first 3.0 innings before giving way to
Shalonda Woods. CAU pitching combined to allow 12 hits to lead to 10 runs while striking out two and walking a pair.

All five CAU hits were shared between five batters.
