Worldwide Resort Guide, another cold calling Fly Buy Company

wrg

A new so called fly-buy company has been brought to our attention by consumers who received a cold call.

Worldwide Resort Guide approaches Timeshare owners with the pitch that due to the fact they paid their Maintenance fees promptly they are entitled to promotional holidays.

This pitch creates a “false” sense of trust with the Timeshare owner, making him believe Worldwide Resort Guide is in contact with his resort and aware of his fees. And the fact is though that this is completely untrue.

Worldwide Resort Guide is not connected to any resort and certainly would no resort share information about people’s payment with third party companies.

The offer from Worldwide Resort Guide is a package of promotional holidays for the price of £199 which needs to be paid up front.

The website of this company is www.worldwideresortguide.com and looks rather basic. In the Contact section there are no telephone numbers, no company address, and all you have t get in contact with them is a contact form where they ask for your personal details.

Neither are there any Terms and Conditions for the holiday bookings displayed on the website.

Once consumers have spoken to them the telephone number given is 0034 965887862

Seen the complete lack of Company information, the cold call and the untrue statement to be connected to the consumers resort, we would recommend to be very cautious when called by Worldwide Resort Guide.

If you have been on the phone with them already, then please let us know.

I have had a request from world wide resort guide offering to sell my timeshare for £3300 but wanting over £1000 in advance to cover the possibility of my not sending them the documents that allow the sale to them. Their offices are in London and I live in Windsor Berkshire not so very far away from them. I offered to travel to their offices so the transaction could be done there with me passing all my documents etc to them once the monies was in my bank account. They have not come back to me.
