SHORT-TERM COMMUNITY VISION
We plan to develop the portico for the local community – tired shoppers – older people in need of company – people freed of addiction but not its effects – people with permanent disdabilities – young people in need.,,
AND after the day…For the hungry at heart a Jesus Meal in the early evening !!!
LONGTERM COMMUNITY VISION
Our vision includes a community bistro, which will open well into the evening to offer a real alternative to going to a pub or a club in the town centre. What is presently the ground floor of the church will offer an excellent space for the performing arts as well as being ideal for exhibitions, conferences and weddings. Four meeting rooms to its rear offer flexible space for a wide range of activities.
The upper gallery, in addition to offering the potential for more workshops, will house the Silent Room, a place for prayer and reflection. It will have as its backdrop, the impressive Jesus Rose Window.
Community arts will have a high priority with dedicated spaces for painting, sculpture, fabrics and ceramics.
