Drug arrest, Surfers Paradise

Police have arrested a 20-year-old man overnight after he was allegedly discovered with 38 ecstasy tablets in Surfers Paradise.

Around 11pm, the man came to police attention on the Esplanade in the vicinity of the Schoolies hub.

Police conducted a search of the man and allegedly located the tablets and a quantity of cash.

The man from Mitchelton in Brisbane has been charged with supplying a dangerous drug, possess a dangerous drug and receiving or possessing property obtained from trafficking or supplying.

He is due to face Southport Magistrates Court on December 15, 2014.
