ELMHURST, Ill. - For the second time in as many weeks, junior diver
Cody Watts has been named The Summit League Men's Diver of the Week, the conference office announced today.
Watts earns his second-straight conference weekly honor and third of his career after recording a pair of top-two finishes.
To start the week, Watts won the three-meter dive with a league-best and NCAA Zone qualifying score of 340.50 in the 3-meter dive before finishing second in the one-meter with 257.55 points against Eastern Illinois.
A day later at the Indiana Intercollegiates, Watts took fifth in the one-meter dive (276.25) and sixth in the three-meter (284.70).
Watts and the Jags will have a week off before returning to action Oct. 31 when it hosts Saint Louis and Western Illinois at the IUPUI Natatorium. The meet is set to begin at 6 p.m.
