Coca Cola Files To Renew The Ecto Cooler Trademark

Have you been feeling a severe lack of green colored, orange flavored, drinks in your life? Well Fear not, thanks to some sleuths who have been digging through the US Trademark and Patent filings, we've learned that Coca-Cola, just filed to renew Ecto Cooler.

Now there are many reasons that this could be happening. First, it could be a product of the great 90's revival we're going through (see Fuller House, etc). Second, and probably the reason that makes the most sense, is that Hi-C is looking to plan a promotion around Paul Feig's Ghostbusters film. As of right now, there are no plans to include Slimer in the film, but that hasn't stopped tie-in product before.

There has been a push in recent years from fans to get the flavor back on store shelves and now it looks like we're getting closer than ever. However, not to be a Debbie Downer, this could just be Coca-Cola preserving their trademark so those pesky folks at Pepsi don't come in and swoop up one of their most prized possessions.
