As you know, we deployed at the end of June to Greenbrier County, WV. This week we had a call on our assistance line. A lady called us from a neighborhood where 19 homes were totally destroyed and needed to be torn down. When our volunteer told her that we could help - and do it for free - she broke into tears. We were able to minister to her and pray with her right there on the phone - before we even set foot on her property! Our initial commitment was for one month, but with so much work to do we are extending our deployment through August 16. If you aren't able to come in July, now's your chance; check your calendar and come work with us in August!

We need more volunteers and people who can continue to support this deployment financially. Please keep our team and the residents in your prayers. Our team has been on the ground working long hard days in July's heat with very little reprieve. This event has long faded from the news and people forget that there will be weeks and months of recovery before residents can even begin rebuilding.

If you are able to come work with us please resgister as a volunteer so we know when to expect you (and plan for work and meals accordingly). Volunteers need to be able to commit to at least 3 full working days (7am - 6pm). As always, we will provide a place to stay, 3 meals/day, hot showers, and as much work as you can handle. Not necessarily in that order. It is essential that you register and get your dates confirmed at least 24 hours before you plan to arrive/volunteer.
