Lucy Lane Comes to CBS’ Supergirl in the Form of Jenna Dewan Tatum; Alura Zor-El Appears In New Promo

But will she be a friend, or foe?

According to ComingSoon.net, CBS recently announced that Witches of East End‘s Jenna Dewan Tatum has been cast in the recurring role of Lucy Lane on Supergirl!

Obviously, Lucy Lane is the sister of Lois Lane, but she’s always had an interesting connection to Supergirl. She appeared as a character in 1984’s Supergirl film (and a burgeoning “relationship” with Jimmy Olsen when she was clearly a lesbian in training – amirite?), and in an awesome comics story arc by Sterling Gates called Who Is Superwoman? where – spoiler alert – she ended up being Superwoman. So, the question is: which version of Lucy Lane will we be getting on Supergirl? The BFF, or the Kryptonian foil?

Meanwhile, in this new Supergirl promo, we see Melissa Benoist as Kara Zor-El Danvers interacting with her dead mother Alura (played by Laura Benanti) thanks to advanced Kryptonian technology! Check it out!

Are you looking forward to Supergirl? What part are you most excited to see?
