Professional and career development for research staff
UKRSA (http://www.vitae.ac.uk/ukrsa) has published a short survey of professional and career development opportunities for members of research staff employed in academic research (e.g., postdoctoral researchers, associates and fellows; doctorate holders working on a fixed-term contract). We would like to understand what make successful or unsuccessful development opportunities, and what factors might influence research staff to engage with the available opportunities. Typical professional development experiences might include courses, development conversations, and taking part in committees and associations, for example.

The survey is also open to former postdoctoral research staff, but please focus your answers on your experiences during the postdoctoral research staff phase of your career.

Please take a few minutes to complete this survey and to share it with your colleagues and networks.
