US, NATO waging proxy war against Russia: Analyst

Press TV has conducted an interview with Daniel Faraci, director of the Grassroots Political Consulting from Washington, to discuss the ongoing crisis in eastern Ukraine.

The political analyst maintains that the United States and the Western military alliance NATO are seeking to lead a proxy war against Russia across mainly Russian-speaking regions of the troubled eastern Ukraine.

He also says any violation of a recent ceasefire between warring sides in Ukraine will give the US a pretext to equip the authorities in Kiev with lethal arms and ammunition.

Faraci adds that Washington has always been looking for an excuse to fuel tensions across Ukraine even during the truce.
