Teacher & Staff Sponsorships Now Available!
Our largest cost at the orphanage is the staff that it takes to care for the children 24/7... The staff currently works on a "semi-volunteer" basis, well below the Honduran minimum wage (which is about $377/month). They do this because they love our children... They know that these kids need love and care more than ever when they arrive at the orphanage. However, since most of these employees have families of their own, many are single parents, it is really a crisis to keep and motivate these amazing caregivers to continue to provide the safe and happy home for our children!
Our goal through this teacher sponsorship program is to be able to, as quickly as possible, raise the staff pay to the Honduran minimum wage, add the MUCH NEEDED 3 additional staff members, and provide regular professional development to the staff on topics such as - first aid, caring for children who have been through major traumas, and working with kids with learning disabilities, etc.

Summer Mission Trip = Huge Success!
In July we had our largest Mission trip ever! 17 individuals traveled to Honduras as a team to share their hearts and hands with the kids and people of our programs. Thanks to the many hands we were able to accomplish so much! The dining hall and courtyard received new paint, while others distributed donated clothes and shoes. We fit in family reunions and visits to the mountain villages, as well as a visit to our newest community Brisas del Salto, where we were able to see the results of one of our grant funded programs - a tilapia farm supporting nearly 240 families in this community. In addition to our tangible support, we were blessed with the return of Fr. Paul Hudson, from St.Mary's in West, Texas, to provide spiritual support to the kids and families we serve. Many thanks to all those that traveled with us! Our next trip is November 5-12th, where we will be delivering Christmas gifts to the kids in Honduras.
To all our volunteers and donors, we express our continued thanks and gratitude. Your contributions make all the difference for the lives of so many children. Please remember our children in your prayers, as we remember each of you! God bless!
