Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) – a Planned Parenthood award winner – is calling on Obama’s Justice Dept. to investigate the group behind the videos showing Planned Parenthood executives callously discussing horrific procedures on aborted babies to maximize revenue:

“Let’s have an investigation of those people who were trying to ensnare Planned Parenthood in a controversy that doesn’t exist,” Pelosi said regarding the first undercover Planned Parenthood video released by the Center for Medical Progress.

House Minority Leader Pelosi was the 2014 recipient of Planned Parenthood’s “Margaret Sanger” award.  Pelosi joined 2009 Margaret Sanger Award winner Hillary Clinton.

At a press event yesterday, Pelosi declared that House Democrats “overwhelmingly” oppose Republican efforts to cut off federal funding for Planned Parenthood:

Q:  Would any Democrat vote for a CR that defunds Planned Parenthood?

Pelosi:  "Well I have to see – I don’t know that that will be what’s in the CR.  I think this is highly hypothetical.  I know that the tail wags the dog over there.  But I just don’t know that the tail has the dog in a spin.  They have responsibilities and work to do.  That would be a most unfortunate proposal.  And what else is in the CR?"

Q:  But you don’t rule out Democratic support for that?

Pelosi:  "On any given day, any one person may do something.  But, overwhelmingly, the Democrats will not support that."

Rep. Diane Black (R-Tenn.) has introduced the Defund Planned Parenthood Act of 2015, which would institute a one-year moratorium on support for Planned Parenthood.
