Rolla, Mo. – The Missouri S&T Miners conclude their four game homestand hosting Bellarmine and Southern Indiana this weekend at the Bullman Multi-Purpose Building. The Miners take on the Knights on Friday evening beginning at 7 p.m. and then play their final home match of the regular season against Southern Indiana on Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. S&T will honor its four seniors prior to the start of Saturday's match.

The Miners will host a Scare the Competition Night on Friday night with a costume contest with three divisions consisting of individual adults (18+), couples and groups and youth (17 or younger). Costumes will be judged between 6:45 p.m. to the start of the second intermission. Prizes will be awarded to the first and second place winners in each division and the winners will be announced on the floor during the intermission between the second and third sets.

S&T (17-8, 8-3 GLVC) looks to build off its two wins last weekend and move closer to advancing to its fifth straight GLVC tournament. Carlie Combs (O'Fallon, Mo./St. Dominic) and Krista Haslag (Linn, Mo./Helias ) continue to pace the Miner attack with the duo averaging 3.16 and 3.01 kills per set respectively. Haslag is also 37 kills shy of becoming the school's career leader in that category. Alexis White (Auburn, Wash./Riverside) continues to run the offense dishing out 9.65 assists per set while Jackie Pyles (White Lake, Mich./West Bloomfield) continues to lead the team and the GLVC in digs per set with 5.58.

Bellarmine enters Friday night's contest with a record of 10-15, 2-9 GLVC after snapping a three match losing streak with a 3-1 win over Cedarville on Tuesday night. The Knights have struggled away from Knights Hall dropping six of eight road contests.

Bellarmine is averaging 12.2 kills per set, has an attack percentage of .187 and has four players averaging over two kills/set led by Ashley Jefferson with 2.36. Megan Kimbley is averaging 2.24 per set, Margaret Horihan is contributing 2.22 per set and Aurryella Mason is adding 2.12 per set. Allie Muha runs the offense distributing 9.41 assists per set while Jordyn Kuchenbrod has dug up 509 attacks for an average of 5.36 digs/set which is second in the GLVC behind Pyles.

Southern Indiana (17-7, 6-5 GLVC) ran its winning streak to six in a row with a sweep of Trevecca Nazarene on Tuesday evening in Evansville. The Screaming Eagles will put that winning streak on the line on Friday night against Drury in a key conference matchup. USI is currently tied for fourth in the GLVC East with Indianapolis while the Panthers are tied for third with Truman in the GLVC West. The top three teams in each division receive automatic bids to the conference tournament with the final two spots going to the teams with the best record regardless of division.

The Eagles have a very balanced offensive attack with three players averaging over 2.85 kills per set and are led by Shelbi Morris with 3.00. Erica Oberbroeckling and Abbey Winter are averaging 2.89 and 2.87 kills/set respectively. Quin Shoultz and Erika Peoples are the primary setters for USI with Shoultz dishing out nearly 10 assists/set and Peoples is distributing 7.5 per set. Shannon Farrell is the leader on the defensive side of the ball digging up 415 attacks for an average of 4.77 per set.
