Adaptive Sports Iowa is a RAGBRAI team enabling people in wheelchairs to ride a hand-trike across Iowa safely. We have nearly 75 members of which a little ⅔ are support riders, drivers and administrators. We have members from numerous state and last year became international with a member from Spain. ASI provides activities all year round with wheelchair basketball, soccer, beep baseball, downhill skiing, and more.
Needs for Boy Scout Teams:
To be available on about midday on the arrival day during RAGBRAI. Paul Thompson will call and tell what time he is arriving. The contact will call and gather the team about the same time. Paul will assign jobs and direct the process. We need 5-10 people.
We will need one person on the truck unloading, a person looking at luggage tags and directing. Several people receiving and carrying tagged luggage to specified locations. Two people pumping air into mattresses. One person keeping mattresses supplied for pumping and delivering tagged mattresses to specified locations.
