The Killers are working on a new album with Elton John

Back in November, Elton John invited Brandon Flowers onto his Beats 1 radio show, Rocket Hour, for a little chat. During their conversation, The Killers frontman talked about how he grew up listening to John’s many records, which should come as no surprise to fans given the band’s glam rock leanings.

John, in turn, returned the compliment, saying, “When Brandon makes a record — whether it’s for The Killers or on his own — he comes and plays me the album,” adding, “Usually, I’m very happy and excited to hear it. And I usually play mine to him.”

Now, it appears the two kindred spirits will officially be joining forces in the studio. In a new video interview with Shazam, John spilled the beans, mentioning he has plans to fly to The Killers’ hometown of Las Vegas to work on their next album, the follow-up to 2012’s Battle Born. Given their shared music taste and onscreen chemistry, the collaboration should yield some nice results.
