Jacksonville State remained ranked in the Top 10 in both The Sports Network and the FCS Coaches Football Top 25 polls on Monday following last week's road loss to the defending Big 10 and Rose Bowl Champion Michigan State Spartans.
 
The Gamecocks slipped three spots to No. 9 in The Sports Network poll and one spot to No. 9 in the FCS Coaches poll.
 
Fresh off Saturday's season-opening thrashing of Iowa State, North Dakota State reclaimed the No. 1 ranking from Eastern Washington in The Sports Network FCS Top 25. The Bison also remained No. 1 in the FCS Coaches poll.
 
Jacksonville State travels to face Chattanooga this weekend. The Mocs are ranked No. 13 in The Sports Network poll and No. 15 in the FCS Coaches poll. It marks just the second time in the series that both teams have faced each other when ranked.
 
Although the Mocs hold a 26-11 lead one of the Gamecocks' oldest rivalries, Jax State has won six of the last eight meetings since the series resumed in 2004, and won three of the last four meetings in Chattanooga.
 
The last time the two teams met was in 2012 and the Gamecocks claimed a 27-24 win as Griffin Thomas kicked a 37-yard field goal as time expired.
 
Game time is set for 5 p.m. CT on Saturday at Chattanooga, and the game can be heard on the JSU Radio Network. Tickets are available through the UTC Athletic Ticket Office.
