Will Congress help businesses to protect their trade secrets?

In an age of unprecedented theft of business trade secrets, customer records, and other valuable intellectual property, businesses and their legal counsel have the huge challenge of navigating the many different (and quickly changing) state laws.

To fix this problem, Congress is considering the “Defend Trade Secrets Act of 2015”, which would unify these various laws, and enable businesses to protect their business assets.

Attorney James Pooley is a recognized authority on Trade Secrets, and has written a detailed article about this pending legislation that is being reviewed by the House and Senate judiciary committees.

Stay tuned for further developments in this fast-changing area of the law.
