Danita was diagnosed with TNBC (Triple Negative Breast Cancer) in October of 2015 less than six months ago. While she had the lump removed, the cancer has been very aggressive and has metastasized. During this time, Danita has responded like the strong and positive woman that she is. She has tried desperately to not let it get her spirits down.
Danita has been an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., for many years and has served her community dutifully. She is also a proud member of Dominion World Outreach Ministries where she has been a devoted member and served tirelessly.
Danita has battled this cancer for a little more than six months and this cancer is progressing rapidly. Danita is already in Stage 4 where the cancer has metastasized to her spine, brain, lungs and bones. Because the triple negative cancer is a very aggressive cancer, chemotherapy and radiation were her options that have failed her. She is extending her treatment to include one other option that isn't covered by insurance. The cost of the treatment is $2,400 every 90 days. I am asking for help to defray costs that will be associated with her travel, medications, daily living expenses, food and moving expenses.
While consoling Danita, her husband of more than 25 years, Patrick Webb, who is a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity, has been by her side every step of the way which has caused him to not be able to work and generate the needed income to sustain them. They have not mentioned the many stressors in their lives that make this even more painful. With her on chemo, the daily chores are left undone, meals are hard to make, yard work is almost impossible, the ability to pay for necessary living expenses are almost impossible with the high costs of her treatments. Her physicians have sent her to Atlanta to the Cancer treatment Center of America for the last two months which has been very expensive. My goal is to raise about $50,000 to help Danita and Patrick with these overwhelming expenses and to send Danita and Patrick to the recommended treatment center for all possibilities of saving her life.
Our number one goal is to help remove stress from her life to allow her to focus on healing and making memories with her family.
