The St. John Fisher College men's indoor track and field team traveled to Ithaca College on Saturday for the Bomber Invitational.
Senior
Kyle Koehler led the way for the Cardinals, winning the shot put and setting a new facility-record with a throw of 16.65 meters. Fellow throwers
Jonathon Robinson and
Ross Mathewson also enjoyed strong showings, settting new personal records and placing in the top 15 in both the shot put and the weight throw.
In the triple jump,
Mark VanMarter finished fifth overall, while teammate
Brandon Fuentes placed sixth.
On the track,
James Felice posted a time of 1:59.80 in the 800, good enough to qualify for the NYSCTC Championship.
Joe D'Agostino also qualified for the NYSCTC Championship, placing fourth overall in the 200.
Senior
Trevor Wilkes was fifth in the 400 at 51.81 seconds.
Fisher returns to action next week. The Cardinals are back in Ithaca looking to win the Empire 8 Conference Championship for the second straight year.
