In our experience, a good one is making it work with your other efforts, like SEO. The thinking is: I step it up in Adwords when I'm not ranking for those terms, and when I am, I scale back on the ads once I'm ranking. Pretty simple sounding right? This strategy is especially powerful with...

The thinking is: I step it up in Adwords when I'm not ranking for those terms, and when I am, I scale back on the ads once I'm ranking. Pretty simple sounding right? This strategy is especially powerful with eCommerce, or other businesses where keyword counts can get overwhelming. I don't recommend this for branding purposes though, as it is good practice to own your brand on every channel, on every search.

I'm biased, but it's easily SEO. Organic traffic makes up 40%-60% of traffic for the avg. website! And once you have a great foundation, building upon that is easy.

From an SEO perspective: Of course the very best feeling for everyone is when I get to report that a client has the top search rankings they were hoping for! Then to really WOW them, we present a new idea or focus every time we meet. Our clients appreciate us staying on the bleeding edge of the SEO practice.
Since we are all digital I suppose the biggest issue would be the need of a graphic designer to "re-brand" for the holidays. We don't do it very often as a result.
