Mommy D on Pacquiao foe Algieri: 'Pogi siya'

"Nakita ko siya sa TV. Pogi siya."

 

That's was how Dionesia Pacquiao, better known as Manny Pacquiao's Mommy D, described unbeaten American fighter Chris Algieri, the challenger for her son's World Boxing Organization (WBO) welterweight title.

 

Along with her boyfriend Michael, Mommy D is scheduled to watch at ringside on Sunday in Macau, and she only has a simple message for her son's foe.

 

"Sana malinis lang ang paglaro nila," she told Mav Gonzales in an interview on "24 Oras" on Friday. "Wala naman akong nakita sa anak ko na 'di malinis maglaro. Fair play lang. Malinis lang."

 

On Thursday, the visited Pac-mom the suite of the eight-division champion together with her son Bobby and boyfriend Michael Yamson, who will watch the boxing icon fight live for the first time.

 

She said that she ordered a custom-tailored Filipiniana peach gown especially for the fight. She also added that her presence as a mother will be a big boost of confidence for Pacquiao. — JST, GMA News
