Samsung has finally put all rumors to rest by unveiling the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge Sunday at the Mobile World Congress.

Their two new flagship phones, which will be released on April 10, are significant upgrades from previous Galaxy models and a guaranteed competitor to the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

The Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge will come in a classy presentation. The two new phones will not be made out of plastic like previous models. The side of the phone will be framed with aluminum and the front and back of the phone will be smooth pieces of Gorilla Glass 4just like the iPhone 6 models.

Unlike previous Galaxy models that only came in one color or two, the new phones will come in emerald, gold, blue, black and white.

The S6 Edge, which has the same software as the S6, will have a unique presentation. The S6 Edge will have curved edges on its 5.1, 2560 x 1440 Quad HD display. Similar to its predecessor, the Galaxy Note Edge, it will have various edge swipe commands.

One of the new features of the dual-edge display will allow users to know who’s calling without having to see the screen. Users will be able to assign a color to five different contacts, and if their phone is facing down, the light on the edge display will glow with the contact’s assigned color. The user will then be able to dismiss the call by using the heartbeat sensor on the back of the phone.

The camera on the new Galaxy phones will also be a huge upgrade. The front camera will be 5MP and have a 1.9 lens that lets users capture good quality photos in low lighting. The rear camera will be 16 MP and also have a 1.9 lens with real-time HDR and fast tracking auto focus-which is a significant difference from the previous 13MP Galaxy S5 camera.

The phone will also have a new camera feature where the user can double tap the home button to summon the camera in just .7 seconds.

Compared to past Galaxy phones the two new models won’t have a replaceable battery or a Micro SD slot. The Galaxy S6 and the S6 Edge will also not be waterproof, which was a nice add-on last year when Samsung released a waterproof phone.

Some other small tech specs include a faster charging battery that only takes 10 min to have enough juice to last 4 hours; improved biometric identification on the home button and rear heartbeat sensor; and NFC and MST payment technologies.

Samsung will also release a new Samsung Gear VR headset that will be compatible with the new Galaxy Phones.

Both the S6 and S6 Edge will come in 32GB, 64GB and 128GB and they will run on Android 5.0 Lollipop.
