(Canton, NY) – The 2014-2015 Carroll University athletic season officially ended on Saturday at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
Head coach Shawn Thielitz took three student-athletes to the season-ending meet. Seniors Lindsey Thomas, Andrew Nottling and Cooper Witt were all vying for another All-American honor to close out their careers but came up just short on the weekend.
Thomas, competing in two events, came the closest to the All-American level. Needing to finish in the top-8, Thomas claimed the ninth spot in the discus event with a throw of 152' 8". In the shot put she was 18
th overall with a toss of 42' 9".
Nottling finished 11
th in the high jump at 6' 6 ¼" while Witt was 19
th in the 200 meter dash with a time of 21.84.
