HOUGHTON, N.Y. -- Men's basketball student-athlete Johnathan Stowe (Toronto, ON, Canada, Don Mills Collegiate Institute) has earned his second Empire 8 Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week honor after his performance during the week ending December 14.

The 6-5 sophomore forward sparked Houghton to an 80-69 win over Alfred State on Saturday. He led the Highlanders offensively, pacing the team with a career-high 30 points after shooting 71 percent (10-of-14) from the field in 36 minutes of play. Stowe secured nine rebounds, three steals, three blocked shots and two assists in the victory. He was also a perfect 3-for-3 from three point range and 7-for-7 from the charity stripe.

It marks the second time Stowe has won the honor this season.
