On Sunday, April 26, 2015, the Denver Art Museum will celebrate the 14th annual Día del Niño (Day of the Child) festival. Día del Niño is a partnership with the Denver Public Library, Clyfford Still Museum, History Colorado Center, and the Byers-Evans House Museum. During Día del Niño all five institutions will offer free general admission and a variety of fun activities and performances for the whole family. Bilingual volunteers will be available at all participating locations.
This year the Día del Niño celebration will showcase close to 25 live dance performances (the most ever!) by groups such as Aspen Santa Fe Ballet Folklórico, ARCINDA (Arts & Culture of Indonesia), and Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Youth Ensemble. With vibrant costumes, intricate routines, and chances for audience participation, these performances are sure to be fun. The festival also will feature hands-on crafts and activities throughout the DAM like our popular Family Backpacks, Art Tubes, and Create-n-Takes, many of which are available in Spanish.
At the DAM, the festivities will begin at 11 am with dance performances on the Acoma Plaza outside the North Building. At 11:45 am DAM Director Christoph Heinrich will begin the official opening ceremony.
After that, spend the day enjoying the many performances and activities going on at each of the participating institutions.

Please note: The DAM will be open for regular hours, 10 am−5 pm. Check schedules at the other institutions for their hours.
