Mumbai

Cidco has decided to conduct an extensive survey of tenements and shops constructed by the city planner in order to maintain the entire database of its housing schemes devised for all income groups.

Cidco has built around 1.30 lakh homes so far. Until 2004, the allotment was done manually and thereafter through Systems Application Products (SAP) which needs to be updated with the present owners and their details.

According to Cidco sources, the name of the owner needs to be given as per the property register for NMMC area (North Navi Mumbai). “Initially, the allotment was done on first-come, first-serve basis. Later the lottery system was introduced,” said Cidco senior PRO Mohan Ninawe.

Residents will be given a form to get specific information like the name of the present owners, their contact details and address of the property. This must include the name of the scheme, society, its node, sector number, building type and building number.
