WINDSOR, Colo. (May 28, 2015) – Heather Jones, a standout hurdler and sprinter in the Colorado prep ranks, has signed a letter of intent to compete at Oklahoma Christian, OC track and field coach
Wade Miller said Thursday.
Jones, from Windsor, Colo., attended Fossil Ridge High School in nearby Fort Collins, posting top times of 16.47 seconds in the 100-meter hurdles and 47.19 seconds in the 300-meter hurdles. She also competed on the Sabercats' relay teams.
"Heather will be in our relay pool as well as running the hurdle events," Miller said. "She shows a good deal of potential and could have a bright future at OC. I'm excited she will be joining the team next year!"
Jones will join a signing class that includes thrower Maia Zeno of Heath, Texas, and 400/800-meter specialist Leisa VanVooren of Bedford, Texas.
