Kanye West made a public apology to Beck via Twitter on Thursday afternoon.
“I would like to publicly apologize to Beck, I’m sorry Beck,” wrote West.
West rushed the stage during Beck’s Grammys acceptance speech on Feb. 8 after the singer beat out Beyonce for album of the year — much like West did when Taylor Swift beat out Beyonce for best female music video during the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards. Unlike in the Swift incident, however, West stopped himself before grabbing the microphone.
After the show, West made comments about Beck’s album of the year win, saying the singer “needs to respect artistry.”
After apologizing to Beck on Twitter, West also issued an apology to Bruno Mars.
“I also want to publicly apologize to Bruno Mars, I used to hate on him but I really respect what he does as an artist,” he wrote seconds later, followed by: “I also would love for Bruno to sing this hook on this song 88 Keys / Puff and I produced… I even asked Tyler to shoot the vid.”
Perhaps this is the start of an “All Day” apology.
