HELP THE ENDANGERED CHILDREN

Donation protected
Imagine a world without children sleeping on the streets. Without little children scavenging for scraps of food, metal and bottles for their living. A world where all children matter regardless of their status. Well you can think of me as a child activist but I am currently working as a volunteer to help street children in Kampala, Uganda. I've done this since 2010 and I do enjoy doing it. My friends here wanted to join me, but after realising that it's not a paid job, they quit. I don't blame them, at least they tried. But for me it's more than a job. I have seen many children being rescued and changed from this horrible situation for the better, the best example is myself. You might be asking yourself why do I do this; well for me it is a way of giving back to my brothers and sisters still living on the streets since I myself was once in their shoes. I was in their shoes for 5 solid years; that sounds like a very long time for a child to live on the streets, isn't it? Well when I realised the struggles I went through in my street days, and based on my experience , I decided to become wild about volunteering. My voluntary work is based on a personal and at times group approach to these children, however in the future I hope to be running a well organized project that is registered with authority as a non-profit organisation. Currently my work includes personal reach outs to the disadvantaged children, where I interact with these children about their life on the streets, dress and nurse their wounds, refer them to health centres with free medical care in the case of sicknesses I can not handle, networking with projects working with these children, I do a slum outreach program every Tuesday and Thursday, voluntarily teach literacy and conduct counselling sessions to two projects that work with these children, feed them with the posho and bean ( cheap food and affordable ) , resettlement of willing children back with their families and etc. Currently these children's lives are threatened and endangered. It's hard to tell whether children that were arrested two weeks ago from one of the slum areas that I operate in were taken for constructive reason or NOT. This act made many of us worried especially the children because they're living in unsafe conditions, they feel threatened. These kids left their homes because of various reasons such as poverty striken families, lack of parental guidance when children are left to fend for themselves, death of caring parents, some are being promised jobs in the city and end up on the streets when they fail to get those jobs etc. But all share something in common that they all ended up on the streets to escape and to have peace. Now that peace is threatened, children are arrested while sleeping on the street. Some children would want to go back home if they are given a chance, many are willing to go back home. These kids are people living in Uganda , but living a life they should not have lived. Many have became men and women in this horrible permanent struggle. Now I have many children that willingly wish to be reunited with their families, they have understood that permanent struggle on the streets is horrible, and are willing to get off the streets and meet their families again. This campaign is for help to resettle them back together with their families. I have done it before and I know it's a bit costly. I tried to set up a gofundme campaign to raise funds for this, " HELP THE ENDANGERED CHILDREN " with a target of $2000 but my country is not yet supported to use the service, thanks to my Friend Rowan who volunteered to set up one for this cause. However everything can be possible when you have the right mind and the right people to work together, because I believe together we can achieve more. Please I call upon everyone to join me in fighting this horrible permanent struggle on the streets. With good people that are willing to help, we can make a difference, and maybe even history. At the moment; there are Five children already selected to be resettled, ready and excited to meet their families including Brian the boy I posted on my Facebook wall and page. Please you can checkup them for updates. Thank you so much for your generosity towards these disadvantaged children.
