Thousands of community clubs are shutting down across the country.  They shut down because of a lack of money, lack of volunteers and too much red tape.  Community clubs are essential. For every £100 raised we can help a community club or project with their 'red tape', their communications and manage their data safely for a whole year for free.

A major study has found that loneliness is a greater health threat than obesity and loneliness increases mortality rates by 30%.* People want to belong somewhere.

Exciting tech start up RunAClub wants to boost club numbers by giving them our innovative ‘club in a cloud’ software programme that takes care of the worrying red tape, so club leaders can get on with the good stuff – running the club.  Help us to grow stronger communities, encourage volunteers to share the work and help clubs stay open.  We want to change the world together.

Who we are

I’m Sally Higham, people tell me I’m a tech entrepreneur but really, I’m an expert in working with community groups and helping them to survive and grow.

Anyone should be able to run any type of club or group and  share that responsibility. This campaign is aiming to raise £20k to support hundreds of clubs to use the RunAClub software and get the support they need to grow their project or club.

We all want to provide safe places for young people and adults to have fun and experience new opportunities. The chance to develop new skills, improve quality of life, and raise aspirations.  RunAClub helps by managing the red tape via clever software, while activities go on.

You can help communities, boost club numbers for everyone and help stop abuse at clubs. Regulate the administration to keep children, volunteers and vulnerable people safe.

What is the RunAClub platform?

RunAClub is an innovative cloud-based easy-to-use software administration system supporting leaders of any community club. Founded by a team with professional experience working with youth, education, sport, charities and social enterprises. RunAClub provides 7 days a week support and helps community clubs survive and thrive.  RunAClub is committed to continuously improving the technology ensuring that our RunAClub members are getting the latest solutions.

What We Need & What You Get

What we need
Many clubs want to use our digital platform but despite keeping costs very low, we simply can’t afford to give it away!  We want your help to fund clubs to come on board with us through this campaign. Our short-term goal is to bring on hundreds of new clubs but we are hoping to smash the goal and bring on 1000 ‘s of clubs!

What you get
Every penny raised* will be used to provide clubs with access to our platform for a whole year, free of charge to them. 

All supporter rewards include regular updates  and a digital ‘I’ve supported RunAClub’ certificate. Supporter 150, 500 and 750 also include the option to have your name on our ‘building clubs back up’  digital wall. Don't worry if you are unable to nominate a club, we can choose one for you.

*After platform fee and other expenses to create the rewards have been deducted.

The Impact

RunAClub is on a mission to kick loneliness into touch . Help engage communities, boost club numbers for everyone and help stop abuse at clubs - regulate the administration to keep children and vulnerable people safe. Have a look at our website for a more information on the impact we have had.

RunAClub have supported over 34,400 group activity sessions on a national basis via over 2,300 volunteers.  We are tracking data on almost 42,000 members (mostly young people) and have recorded over 330,800 attendances.  We have a huge range of fantastic case studies demonstrating how the support helps community clubs survive and thrive.

Frequently asked questions

Are there any requirements the nominated clubs need to meet?
Yes, there are a few requirements nominated clubs will need to meet such as:
-        Struggling or new community club / project / activity / event with a turnover less than £50k
-        Must be able to access required equipment such as a laptop/pc/tablet and have access to internet
-        Agree to our Terms and Conditions

How will you choose the clubs that will get the subscription?
Supported clubs will be made up of clubs nominated by our funders (as per rewards), clubs who contact us directly for assistance and from our large community network.

Can clubs that already use RunAClub be nominated for support?
This campaign is to support those clubs that do not currently use our platform.

When will you bring on the selected clubs?
Nominated clubs will be brought on as they are selected through the rewards.

What happens to the clubs after the year?
After a year they we will offer them a monthly subscription fee of only £9.99 per month. That is a 50% discount on our usual monthly cost of £19.99 per month.

When do I get my reward?
Your digital ‘I’ve supported RunAClub’ certificate will be sent to you within a couple days. The key rings, lanyards and flash drive rewards  will be sent out once we have raised £4k. We will keep you updated and let you know when to expect your reward.
