Track and field teams earn USTFCCCA academic honors

(Waukesha, Wis.) - Four members of the Carroll University track and field program earned United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic honors for their combined academic and athletic accomplishments.
 
Senior Cooper Witt was one of 297 men from 106 institutions to earn the USTFCCCA honor while seniors Krista Greene, Lindsey Thomas and Jessica Wiegert were among the 420 women from 127 institutions to earn the distinction.
 
To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track and Field Team, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.30 and have met either of the following athletic standards:
 
*Competed in an NCAA Indoor or Outdoor Championship
*Finished the regular season ranked in the national top 35 in an individual event or ranked in the national top 25 (collective listing) in a relay event on the official NCAA POP list provided by TFRRS.org.
 
Additionally, Carroll's women's and men's track and field programs earned All-Academic Team honors. The USTFCCCA recognized a total of 170 women's teams and 99 men's teams, who earned the distinction as a result of a cumulative team GPA of 3.10 or higher.
 
Carroll's women had a team GPA of 3.32 while the men were 3.17.
