Job Opportunity Digital Archivist

Salary: £18,000pa

This is a 12 month Full-Time fixed term contract

Supported by Weston Jerwood Creative Bursaries, OTO Projects are seeking to employ a Digital Archivist.

This person will work with the small team of OTO staff to manage our Digital Archive and look at new ways to make our archive accessible to the public. It is hoped that in doing this we will increase engagement with our programme as a whole and help promote the work we do.

We are looking for applicants who can demonstrate:

  • Knowledge of and passion for a broad range of nonmainstream, underground and experimental music
  • Knowledge and understanding of OTO, its history and the context in which it operates
  • An understanding of the importance of digital content in furtheringthe aims of arts organisations

Key responsibilities would include:

  • Working with us to develop a digital strategy including free and paid for content
  • Working with the whole OTO team to help with our new digitalsubscription service

This post is offered as part of the Weston Jerwood Creative Bursaries Programme, aimed specifically at recent graduates whose circumstances mean they would not otherwise be in a position to develop their skills and CV through unpaid work experience.

Successful recipients must:

  • have received a full maintenance grant during the full period of their course and be able to verify it with the necessary paperwork
  • have graduated since summer 2013, from a first degree (ie a BA or an NVQ 6, or MA if from a Scottish university) in the UK
  • have achieved a 2:2 degree or above
  • be a full-time resident in the UK
  • complete an evaluation survey (see details below)
