Ricky Martin is calling on Hispanics to unite together against Donald Trump, saying the GOP presidential candidate’s “absurd, incoherent, and ignorant comments” make his “blood boil.”

“From the beginning, [Trump’s] intent has been clear: To basically tell lies and offend us to stay in the public spotlight,” the Puerto Rican-born “Livin’ La Vida Loca” singer writes in a blistering op-ed on Fusion.net published Wednesday night.

{mosads}Martin called  Univision anchor Jorge Ramos, who was removed from a Trump news conference on Tuesday after attempting to ask a question without being called on, one of the “most admired and respected journalists in Hispanic media,” and said the incident “went too far.”

Ramos, who was eventually allowed back in the news conference and asked Trump about his views on immigration, was “exercising his right of freedom of the press,” Martin says in his editorial.

“I am not surprised Trump would aim so low. I am surprised that we Hispanics continue to accept these aggressions and accusations by individuals like Trump who continue to attack our dignity.”

“It has to stop!” the 43-year-old entertainer writes.

Trump has made a number of controversial remarks about Latino immigrants, including during his June campaign announcement, when the real estate mogul said, “When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. … They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.”

“If we have been united for some things, we must be united for all,” Martin writes, saying Hispanics need to prove that they “must be respected.”

“Xenophobia is the lowest form of political strategy,” says the Grammy winner. “It is something we all need to fight together, not only for us, but also for the evolution of all humanity and those who will come after us.”
