Kermit and his new main squeeze are going public.
After announcing his breakup with longtime girlfriend Miss Piggy last month, the first photos of Kermit and his new sweetie hit the press, showing the two lovingly gazing into each other’s eyes during a break from work.
Kermit first revealed the budding relationship in an August press conference, saying that his new girlfriend, Denise, works in marketing for ABC.
Denise is also a pig, though with red hair and a more slender figure.
News of the Muppet-related love triangle comes ahead of ABC’s new “Muppets” sitcom, premiering Sept. 22. The docu-style comedy follows the production of late-night talk show “Up Late with Miss Piggy.”
In announcing their split after 40 years together, Kermit and his former flame promised not to let their off-screen drama affect their working relationship, saying in a statement that “we will continue to work together on television … However, our personal lives are now distinct and separate and we will be seeing other people, pigs, frogs, et al.”
