The American dentist Dr. Walter James Palmer traveled across the world just to kill a national icon, a lion called Cecil. Emanuel Fundira, the representative of Zimbabwe Safari gave a statement stating “We lost one of the icons, a lion, a male lion… which was popularly known and endeared as Cecil. Cecil was collared, you may want to know what that means: A collared is an animal which is under surveillance, under a GPS system which is being used for research for different things.”
Walter James Palmer paid $55K to come and shoot him dead. The 13-year old lion was lured away from the national park with food.
He also faced prison time in 2008 for lying to a federal agent about the killing of a black bear.

Palmer shot a black bear in 2006 about 40 miles outside the zone where he was licensed to hunt, and then lied about it to a U.S. Fish and Wildlife agent, claiming he shot it in the correct zone.

Same law’s and rule apply to US citizens as here as abroad. A US citizen goes and sexes a 14 year old boy/girl in another country, can stand trial for it here, even if its legal there. Why doesn’t this rule apply for this creep? Because the US never added lions, tigers, and other foreign wild life to the protected species list. We have a sexual predators list which includes nonsexual crimes or events like urinating in public, but can’t seem to add all protected species to the list, isn’t that a shame?
Now I may be wrong but I remember reading s few years back about crazy laws..one was for I think Florida that it’s not illegal to have sex with ur animal as a school teacher’s son, kept making videos of him and the beloved family dog.
