Hi JFK Lancer community -
I'm Bill Garnet, the director and producer of "The Parkland Doctors." My wife Jacque and I have spent the last 6 years putting together this unique story from the perspective of the doctors who treated John F. Kennedy after he was tragically shot in November of 1963.
Why now?
This film captures a historic event from a completely new perspective. The Parkland doctors, many of whom are in their 80s today, have graciously entrusted us to capture and share their once in a lifetime story before it is too late.
The film is already shot and 80% edited, but the journey is far from over. We still have a lot of work to do to complete our film.
We're off to a great start we are nearly 25% funded in 5 days, and we have the support of the International Documentary Association to ensure our nonprofit status, but our mission to share this story with the world is just beginning.
We are asking you, the JFK Lancer community, to help finish our film. There are many ways we want to make sure this project really comes to life. Your support is needed in order to finish post production, graphics, color correction, secure archival footage, music, and complete sound design. If we can hit our goal, all additional funds will be used to make a run for an Oscar. We think it's that good!
