Big Mac attack! Pennsylvania brothers get into food fight over burger beef: cops

This Big Mac attack did nothing to satisfy the appetite.

A Pennsylvania man got into a serious beef with his brother after finding out he devoured all three Big Macs.

Thomas Veres, 47, of Union Township, was arrested Wednesday after he went on a violent rampage when he discovered 58-year-old Matthew J. Veres ate three McDonald’s burgers and didn’t save any for him, TribLive reported.

The younger Veres reportedly knocked over furniture and appliances and tossed food before punching his older brother several times in the face just after midnight, state police allege.

A neighbor saw Matthew J. Veres hitchhiking to the nearest McDonald’s five miles awayabout 20 miles south of Pittsburghearlier in the evening and was offered a Big Mac a few hours later.

“He asked if my husband wanted a Big Mac, because he got three and we could have one if we wanted,” Angela Bekavac told WTAE. “I said, ‘Well, it’s kind of late and he’s eating some popcorn right now, but thanks for asking.’ “

Bekavac said she was glad she didn’t acceptfor fear of being drawn into the fast food fisticuffs.

The ensuing food fight proved costly.

Matthew Veres suffered bruises to his right eye and left cheek, along with facial cuts, according to reports.

Thomas Veres was arraigned on simple assault and harassment charges before being jailed at Washington County Correctional Facility in lieu of $2,500 bond.
