Things We're Thankful For...
Is anyone else surprised that it's almost holiday time already? This summer and fall have been a whirlwind for us, with family moves, new books hitting the shelves, book tours, and
the biggest change of all -- an addition to the family! (Nobody panic -- we're adding this one fully raised and all grown up).
As of December, we'll officially have a girl in the Wingate clan. If you've been
following me on Facebook, you know the whole story. In case you haven't, here's a pic that went out with the official announcement.
Aren't they adorable together? It's such a joy to see young people in love, starting their lives together. We're counting down the days to their big Christmas wedding.

As we wrapped up this year's book tour in September and
left Edisto Island, SC, the tides were up and the rains had begun to fall. Having just reveled in the pristine beauty of the Carolina coast, we could never have imagined that
our friends there would soon be enduring a 1000 year flood and its aftermath.
When local author-friend, Nicole Seitz asked for contributors to fundraiser book, I was thrilled to be included, along with Karen White, Cassandra, King, Brett Lott, and others.

Coming in 2016 -- Greeting Cards With A Purpose
Here's one last piece of special news before I go, and this one strikes very close to my heart. Earlier this year, the wonderful people at Legacy Publishing reached out to me about
using quotes from my books on a greeting card line.
I'm thrilled to share that, after months of sorting through quotes and looking at designs, a beautiful line of cards is on the way in 2016. The best part is,
each and every one of the cards in the Lisa Wingate Greeting Card Line will be part of Legacy's "Buy a Card Feed a Child" program. Literally, when you purchase a card from Legacy, you will be providing a meal for a hungry child. To date, they have provided over one million meals. That's one million days when a child somewhere in this country or another did not go hungry.
